The blaze summit in Thika was awesome!
The turn up by blazers was amazing (over 3000 in attendance) and the pod sessions stimulating. Those who visited the BrighterMonday pod were inspired, educated and informed on the realities of the current job market. Many of the blazers were on their last leg in tertiary education or fairly new in the job market, thus the tips provided were of extreme value.
We also featured a human resource personnel from Safaricom in the BrighterMonday pod. Valentine Tsikhuzu Arikama, from the Safaricom human resource team answered questions from the blazers on how to succeed in interviews by Safaricom and how to stand out as a job seeker.
Other pods in session in the Thika Blaze summit included; The Music pod, The Fashion pod, The Media and Journalism pod, The Creative Arts pod, The sports pod, The Finance pod, The Business pod, The technology pod, The Photography pod and the Green Zone pod.
The pod sessions ended and gave way to the next exciting part of the day characterized by inspiring performances by local and upcoming artists and performers, as well as electrifying gigs by artists like Wangechi, King Kaka, Khalighraph Jones, Timmy T Dat, DJ Kalonje and J.R.
Nakuru will be next venue for the blaze summit. Nakuru Blazers stay tuned and plan to attend!
