Job Description

Department     -    Business Management
Reports to       -    Head, Business Manager
Liaises with     -    All Internal Montessori House staff and departments, Teachers, Administrators, Parents, Students, Regulators, Suppliers, Banks
 
Main purpose   

- To provide a professional accounting and financial management services as required providing
a.    Assistance in the budget preparation, budget forecasts and closure of accounts processes
b.    Regular payroll and budget monitoring, financial controls and advisory services 

Job scope and context

Min Educational Requirements and work experience
   
- Bachelors of Commerce (or equivalent); and CPA (K) At least (8) years’ working experience in similar role or equivalent ; Valid Certificate of Good Conduct

- Working knowledge on modern Financial information systems

               •    Prepare monthly financial statements
I.    Income statement
II.    Balance sheet
III.    Cash flow statement
•    Tax planning and compliance
•    Proactive analysis of the monthly financial statements for business including analysis of key financial performance indicators and trends, including financial rations, cross divisional comparisons against benchmarks
•    Assist with special projects financial reviews
•    Monitor income and expenditure in relation to budgets
