Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our entire supply chain – from ordering to importation and delivery. They will report to the Operations Manager. As a small organisation, the role will oftentimes require the candidate to work in other areas and thus allow them to develop other skills. The goal is to meet and surpass the company’s expectations to deliver quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with great people skills and strong in persuading and negotiating.


Job Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services within Kenya for a firm dealing in frozen foods.
  • Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle
  • Preparation of invoices.
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers who provide logistics services.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiently plan routes and process deliveries
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Advice on regular system improvements and optimization
  • Logistics Management – ensuring our delivery teams are organised in the most efficient manner, dispatched on time with correct loads.
  • Upcountry Deliveries – managing deliveries outside Nairobi sent on public transport
  • Inventory management – regular stock checks, analysing sales by clients and ordering in time to avoid stock outs.
  • Communication with Clients – monitoring orders and keeping them informed of delivery schedules.


Requirements

-          Must have attention to detail and demonstrate ability to be thorough in their deliverables

-          Ideal candidate has CPA or accounting background

-          Proficiency in English

-      Working knowledge in MS Office & Quickbooks

-          Willing and able to travel around Nairobi to visit clients

-          Self-motivated and results-driven approach

-          Ability to network

-          Attention to detail

-          Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills

-          Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
