Area Sales Representatives (General Trade)

Job Description


Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Sell the Company’s products to distributors, wholesalers, supermarkets and institutions in the assigned territory in order to achieve ambitious monthly sales targets
  2. Make timely collection of all debts from customers in order to achieve set collection targets on a monthly basis
  3. Liaise with the Company Accountant to ensure that all invoices are paid and any disputes are resolved promptly by carrying out reconciliations and providing any relevant documents
  4. Implement the annual sales and budget plan for the sales territory
  5. Visit customers according to the itinerary and ensure all orders are invoiced and delivered on time 
  6. Ensure that POS (point of sale) materials are well displayed in all the outlets within the territory
  7. Grow the business by recruiting new customers continually
  8. Supervise all merchandising activities within the territory and ensure prominent display of all company products in the retail outlets
  9. Ensure that the distributors and wholesalers maintain adequate stock levels to meet market demand
  10. Devise promotional plans/programs and growth plans in conjunction with the National Sales  Manager in order to grow sales
  11. Submit weekly and monthly sales and collection reports and ensure any variances are clearly explained. The report should include competition activities and suggested strategies  of countering them
  12. Build strong relationships with the customers in the market

Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Marketing / Business Administration) or any related field
  • At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in FMCG selling beverages or related products to the general trade
  • Good knowledge of the general trade (beverage market)
  • Good Customer Relationship Management, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of sales targets achievement 
  • Able to work independently 
  • Proven leadership and problem solving skills
  • Honest with a high level of integrity
