Job Description


Our client, a leading security solution systems provider based in Nairobi is looking to hire a Business Development Manager experienced in fire and security systems to grow sales for fire and security systems to clients by identifying the customers’ requirements and designing a commercially viable solution from within the company’s fire and security systems solutions portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Achieve personal sales targets by developing new business with existing and potential clients.
  2. Take a solutions and consultative sales approach to ensure clients’ needs are accurately met.
  3. Develop and implement sales strategies.
  4. Undertake cold calling, ensuring that the number of calls meets call targets as set by management.
  5. Schedule and attend client meetings, ensuring that number of meetings meets targets as set by management.
  6. Participate in sales campaigns to drive revenue and increase business growth.
  7. Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close and manage customer accounts.
  8. Prepare proposals, detailed costings and contract documents for review by General Manager prior to negotiation with clients.
  9. Present effective and professional presentations on the company’s services and solutions.
  10. Manage and maintain a smooth communication channel and ensure all sales administration is updated at all times using the CRM.
  11. Develop, maintain and apply a high level knowledge of the company’s portfolio of services and solutions.
  12. Report on sales, activity and performance as required by General Manager.
  13. Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as the company’s policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Degree in Business Management, or in a related field, or equivalent gained by experience.
  2. Extensive experience with fire and security systems.
  3. Health and Safety experience.
  4. Experience in selling a solutions in a competitive environment required.
  5. Field sales experience, preferably with experience of selling service contracts in the b2b market.
  6. Confident and assertive.Practical experience or high potential of Business Acumen.
  7. Full Kenyan driving licence.
  8. Excellent communication skills.
  9. Must be able to work as part of a team.
