Job Description

DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Portfolio growth and management: Recruit and retain clients ensuring a growth in loan disbursement through excellent customer service and timely service delivery.
  • Develop business and marketing plans in coordination with Business Development Manager to achieve revenue goals.
  • Loan processing: Ensure thorough business assessment, proper securitization and compliance to audit standards and company policy.
  • Client education: Disseminate information to prospective clients and ensure understanding of operations policy as well as training them on business management.
  • Loan book quality management: Ensure that all loans given are paid timely in compliance to policy and set standards.
  • A link with the public: Liaise with service providers, maintain relationships with the public and portray company values at the marketplace.
  • Ensure all disbursed loans comply with the laid down credit policies and guidelines
    Monitor all loans companywide and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure that all disbursements meet the set quality standards to avoid any loan losses to the organization
  • Continual checks for quality assurance in the company’s credit processes
  • Ensure reconciliation of all system entries in relation to credit processes
  • Ensure all offer letters have been reviewed for errors and omissions, compliance with the laid credit policies and procedures and guidelines issued from time to time regarding administration of credit.
  • Ensure that non-compliance issues and irregular transactions for each client are escalated for further action.
  • Ensure that reversals are initiated and / or immediate recovery of loans found to be inadequate and in contravention of credit policies and procedures and escalate them for further action.
  • Ensure that loans maintained in the system are properly captured, all charges collected.
  • Ensure batch proof within 12 Hours for all loan disbursed at credit administration department and confirm that loans have been correctly keyed in, all charges collected, disbursement conditions met and any errors corrected.
  • Generate compliance reports for use in decision making and performance appraisals
  • To build business relations and grow the loan portfolio.
  • To provide a superior level of customer relations.
  • To promote sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation.
  • Responsible for attaining the established company goals through active participation in sales management.
  • Ensuring the provision of high quality and timely services to customers.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a business field.
  • A professional qualification in sales and marketing or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  •  At least 1-2 years’ experience in micro lending and sales in SME’s and other micro finance products
  • At least have worked with any micro finance institution for a period of 1 year.
  • Excellent knowledge of micro lending market trends in Kenya.
  • Communication, organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High standards of integrity and a team player.
