More than 60% of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa is involved in agriculture. Yet, the full potential of the industry remains untapped, and food security is an elusive goal. As smartphone adoption continues to accelerate, farmers are starting to access modern education, markets, and services to help them grow. We are proud to be a part of this movement.
At eLengo, we empower current and aspiring entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector to reach their full potential. We do this by offering both free and affordable online education and extension to small scale farmers across Africa. We currently have a community of over 40,000 members, including thousands of students partaking in one of our online courses. Get ready. These numbers will grow significantly in 2020!
Creating a social impact is at the heart of everything we do at eLengo. All the work we do revolves around our theory of change: To create economic empowerment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of our online agriculture community and students.
