The Finance Assistant, reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, East Africa, is a key member of the Finance department.

Job Description

  1. Validate Invoices and track them on a set system.
  2. Record weekly payments and do period reconciliations
  3. Act as the main accounting contact for vendors
  4. Compute and disburse expenses for general payable and vendor payables.
  5. Records transactions and retains all accounting records. Posts, verifies, and reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  6. Consistently deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  7. Contribute to G Adventures performance by displaying a positive  enthusiastic attitude and showing support and involvement in Team initiatives and activities.
  8. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive account management.
  9. Communicate available information to customers and evaluate/give feedback on how we can improve the customer experience.
  10. Actively maintain and promote the entrepreneurial spirit through the application of creativity, drive and a willingness to take what might commonly be seen as risks.
  11. Assist the Finance Manager with financial reports and analysis.
  12. Assist with preparation of statutory deductions
  13. Journal entries in the accounting system.
  14. Detailed reports and expenses review.
  15. Dealing with payroll of CEO’s (Tour leaders)
  16. Any other ad hoc duties that are assigned by the Finance Manager and Regional Operations Manager
