Job Mission

To accurately and timeously report on the financial results of the business in accordance statutory and regulatory requirements at various intervals (monthly, quarterly, half year and year end). Provide oversight on the Balance Sheets of all the businesses in the group. 


Reporting into: CFO


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Upload and report monthly management accounts in SAP
  2. Coordinate month end close process with businesses
  3. Provide in depth guidance on theory and application of International Financial Reporting Standards
  4. work with HoF in the preparation of consolidated half year and annual financial statements for statutory and shareholder requirements
  5. Ensure complete and accurate reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts for all companies.
  6. Assist the HoF in coordinating the annual audit 
  7. Assist the HoF in the preparation of tax calculations and returns
  8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  9. Develop and document business process and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  10. attend to shareholder queries and liaise with shareholders when necessary
  11. Ad-hoc reporting


Skills & Capabilities

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and related practices
  • Strong IT (tools, excel etc.) skills
  • Knowledge of SAP BW
  • Flexibility – ability to live and act in a climate of change
  • Stronger focus on internal customers (users)
  • Ability to operate and consistently deliver in a changing environment
  • Good working knowledge of SAP 
  • Self starter with strong initiative


Qualifications

  • Registered CPA/CA(SA)/ACCA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
