Job Description

Reporting to: Executive Director

Number of direct reports

  • Accounts Assistant
  • Administrative Assistant

Main responsibilities

  1. Overall responsible for the PVC Plant including Production, Sales and Stock management to ensure good quality products and customer satisfaction while adhering to approved cost and efficiency
  2. Responsible for all the assets placed under the division including building, machinery, vehicles and equipment
  3. Oversee the production department to ensure that quality products are manufactured at the plant in an efficient manner, within the budget and to customer satisfaction
  4. Manage materials and stocks of finished goods to ensure that stocks are at optimum levels to avoid stock outs or having excess stocks by close monitoring of production planning and purchasing
  5. Oversee the plant maintenance to ensure optimum uptime and production capacity
  6. Ensure that the plant and all division operations are legally compliant in all aspects like Occupational Health and Safety among others as per industry requirements
  7. Create, implement, measure and review a performance-based management system by creating clear and uptodate job roles, KPIs, appraisal and competitive reward system that encourages an environment of teamwork and employees willingly produce at maximum capacity
  8. Supervise and empower all direct reports to achieve their individual and team goals
  9. Ensure adherence to the laid down policy, procedures and manuals in the division in all processes and documentation with an objective of upholding all the necessary certifications
  10. Ensure all human resource functions are performed in liaison with the Group Human Resource Office
  11. Achieve set annual budget both topline and NPBT
  12. Prepare necessary reports and attend senior management meetings

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s in business related degree or Engineering
  • 7- 10 years of   experience in a manufacturing set- up preferable PVC related
  • Master’s degree in Management is desirable
