Reporting into: Head of Property

Direct Reports 

  • Head of Sales
  • Marketing Manager
  • Operations Team Managers (e.g. Account Mgmt, HR, etc...)
  • Local tech team


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizational:

  1. Fully own your local P&L, including revenue and cost management
  2. Supervise and drive your business with data: steer each team across a set of defined and aligned KPIs, set ambitious targets and closely track towards the success of your business
  3. Build and empower a great local team with a commitment to our Vision and high degree of motivation
  4. Deliver your local perspective to your respective Product Manager, to strategically develop your solution together
  5. Together with your Head of Vertical, develop your business strategy and plan for excellent execution

Reporting:

  1. Lead a shared weekly reporting with your respective teams, including targets for key indicators
  2. Lead the weekly reporting with the Head of Vertical
  3. Contribute to the monthly reporting with the Head of Vertical
  4. Work towards the achievement of your quarterly targets

Functional:

  1. Sales: Challenge and build your sales team to the best they can be; understand and manage the sales process and the strengths and weaknesses of your sales funnel
  2. Business Development: Work towards establishing prestigious and highly targeted local partnerships, with defined and measurable targets
  3. Operations: Establish and improve your local processes; ensure a lean setup wherever possible
  4. Marketing: Identify the optimal local brand position and strategically position your operations and marketing towards it.
  5. Competitive analysis: Frequently analyze your competition’s behavior to reposition yourself strategically
  6. Product: Work with the Tech & Product Team to build a world class platform which provides the best experience for all our users


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience
  • Proven track record in industry, entrepreneurial or consulting experience (top-tier only)
  • Hands-on experience with the Senegalese market
  • Strong business development skills and track-record
  • Strong communicator and motivator with excellent leadership skills
  • “Can do” attitude, pragmatic and results-oriented manager with well-developed analytical skills
  • Fluency in English and French
