Job Description

Reporting into: Head of Vertical

Direct Reports: Designer, Push Specialist, Performance Specialist, Community Marketer

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage & lead all vertical marketing specialists: Community, Push, Performance, Design, Offline and PR.
  • Be the single point of contact for vertical HoV, Business CEOs, including weekly calls and/or emails
  • Be the single point of contact for vertical between Marketing and  Tech (including Product, BI & UX)
  • Coordinate on-time delivery of vertical tasks with Marketers.
  • Own mkt >< ops & mkt >< product Trello boards
  • Be the spin-master for marketing activities in your vertical, avid communicator and insight master


  • Produce vertical marketing weekly reporting and call out significant shifts vs forecasting and budgets along with reasons and action items
  • Produce vertical marketing monthly reports of KPI achievement, roadmap task overview and action initiatives for any non-performing channel
  • Ongoing improvement of marketing report templates, working with BI
  • Conduct quarterly analysis of competitive environment


  • Master customer acquisition and retention strategy for your vertical
  • Translate business targets into tactical marketing strategies, actions and results
  • Own & drive all marketing OKR items for your vertical
  • Ensure business / tech buy in & sign-off all Marketing briefs for vertical
  • Write documentation and lead implementation of complex technical marketing projects
  • Own brand voice for all brands in close collaboration with CEO’s
  • Coordinate weekly topics within community marketing team.
  • Ensure adherence visual guidelines across all channels
  • Work with UX to update user persona on a quarterly basis
  • Lead vertical marketing forecasting
  • Quarterly recommendations for allocation of giving budgets to different channels (including online / offline split)
  • Responsible for new marketing tools and/or tactic testing and (if successful) team training
  • Lead quarterly creation of vertical marketing strategy with HOV and CEO’s
