Job Summary

The HR Administrator will be responsible for the day to day running of all Human Resource Functions. This is a hands-on position for someone that has the ability to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve and deliver the strategic goals defined for the business.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Custodian of the Employee Lifecycle while at the company (attraction, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, exit management)
  • Spend time understanding the business and the employees at various levels and branches, to ensure procedures and requirements are relevant to the employee experience;
  • Work with Finance and other departments to ensure compliance on all HR related provisions and practices
  • Preparing and amending HR documentation as and when necessary (policies, contracts, employment guides etc)
  • Maintain and update accurate employee records and other HR related documents, ensuring these are handled confidentially, whether in hard or soft copy
  • Custodian of the time and attendance records in accordance to policy provisions – branch attendance, leave management etc
  • Consult with business leadership in the design and delivery of HR solutions on a broad range of HR matters, including employee relations, talent management, talent development, compensation, and recruiting in partnership with specialist areas of HR
  • Support, develops and coach line managers and employees on all HR related matters (employee relations, HR policies and procedures, legal provisions)
  • Attract, manage and develop the right talent within the organisation by deploying the necessary tools and processes to build high performance culture
  • Handle disciplinary matters together with line supervisor, ensuring commitment to organizational values and legal provisions and process
  • Oversee the regular and appropriate performance management process for all staff ensuring appropriate collection of input, feedback discussions and follow-through of next steps
  • Identify training needs across departments and work with relevant management to deliver
  • Lead the preparation of monthly payroll ensuring accurate data, high integrity and timely payment



Required Education and Experience

  • Relevant Degree and a Higher Diploma in HRM
  • At least 3 years of proven successful track record in HR Administration, ideally in a labor intensive environment
  • Professional certificate and member of IHRM with a current practicing certificate
  • Familiarity with the National Labour Laws
  • Experience in a hands-on HR role covering all processes of HR
  • Ability to interact with various staff levels including senior leadership team.
