Job Description

ELDOTEC Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking an HR Generalist and Talent Scout who will be based at our headquarters in Eldoret. Initially this position’s primary focus will be on sourcing talent and building pipeline for positions based locally.
This position will also help shape and implement HR initiatives and programs as well as provide a variety of both complex and routine and administrative services in support of overall corporate HR departmental and day to day operational goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities;
  1. Sourcing and attracting candidates by using databases, social media etc screening job applications and conducting interviews and filtering candidates for open positions.
  2. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/websites/colleges etc.
  3. Ensure that Eldotec Consultancy Services attracts, develops and retains high-quality talent at all levels to support the organization's growth objectives.
  4. Build relationships with community colleagues and/or universities to meet hiring objectives.
  5. Initial screening of applicants to ensure they meet the basic requirements, coordination of interviews, background and criminal checks.
  6. Understand the external factors that impact the supply of top talent, Eldotec’s competitive position, salary level, candidate supply, and candidate requirements for various positions.
  7. Successfully manage the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless transitions and positive experiences.
  8. Partner with HR colleagues to influence and administer HR Policies and Programs and ensure compliance with those policies and related legislative requirements.
  9. Providing coaching and guidance on HR matters to managers.
  10. Coordinate employee training and development and performance management.
  11. Planning and coordinating company events, meetings and activities.
  12. Performing other duties as required.
  13. Administer compensation and benefit plans.
  14. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  15. Ensure compliance with Kenya labor regulations.
  16. employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
  17. Follow guidance set out by corporate security policies and standards

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Outgoing, passionate self-starter with excellent communication skills to join our HR team.
  • Proven 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Kenyan employment/labor laws.
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recruiting and global sourcing experience, high tech industry preferred.
  • Persistent and patient. The ability to work within a team and sharing of information.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
  • Strong background developing and administering HR policies, employment compliance programs as well as procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Able to work independently and utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with excellent administrative skills.
  • You have superb interpersonal skills- you able to establish cross-functional relationships in a collaborative, team-based environment with a diverse group of stakeholders including the leadership team and employees, as well as prospective employees.
  • Experience working with remote teams
