Bachelors Degree in Human Resource from a reputable University.
Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
A registered Member of IHRM.
Excellent skills in Excel spreadsheets. Ability to use formulas and do different calculations.
Must have worked with a HRMIS System eg. SAP, SAGE in running a Payroll.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
A person with strong organizational and administrative skills with a DO IT NOW attitude.
Ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality.
At least 3 years working experience in a busy HR Department.
Reporting to Human Resource Manager, HR Assistant will perform the following duties:-
Maintain up to date staff records.
Ensure that HR Policies, job descriptions and HR information is current at all times.
Conduct training needs analysis, prepare the training programs and ensure relevant training is conducted as per the Training Procedure.
Prepares vacancy announcements, reviews applications, short-list and prepare the interview documentations and manage the process as per the Recruitment Procedure.
Prepare employment offers and appointment letters as required.
Monitor probation period and contract expiry dates and ensure reviews are done on time.
Organize and conduct the Induction for newly recruited employees and ensures all employee entry processes and documentation are properly completed.
Coordinate the performance appraisal of all staff and assist in keeping and updating the performance review records.
Manage leave administration and attendance records.
Handle all general inquiries made to the HR Department [medical insurance, employment references, salaries, policy issues).
Prepare the monthly payroll by gathering payroll data and information, entering the same into the Payroll system, running the payroll and producing accurate Payroll reports.
Responsible for providing payroll information to the Finance department and ensure the process is managed effectively.
Manage the disciplinary procedures and actions and keep related records.
Ensure that Payroll inputs , preparing weekly, monthly and annual labour analysis and ad-hoc reports and workforce administration and Human Resource Information system/ filing is up to date ( HRIS) are enhanced to improve Service Delivery.
Updating and managing leave schedules and records, generating leave reports and ensuring adherence to the leave policy and procedure.
Expected Salary:- Kshs. 40,000 - 55,000 plus benefits
