The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various Human Resource functions, such as Employee Resourcing, Learning and Development, Performance Management and Compliance of HR Policy.

REPORTS TO: Head of Human Capital 
DIRECT REPORTS: Administrative Assistants
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal – HoDs, Team Leaders and Members of Staff. 
  • External – HR Professionals, HR Bodies 
WHAT WORK WILL BE DONE IN YOUR ROLE
Talent Management;
  1. Talent Identification, Onboarding, Development and Retention of quality talent.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning and Development Program.
  3. Ensure that the line managers implement the coaching framework.
  4. Put in place a Career Development Plan.
Employee Welfare;
  1. Ensure effective Employee Benefit Administration.
  2. Update all staff medical records and liaise with the medical provider to ensure all staff medical attention as appropriate.
Performance Management;
  1. Ensure effective management of all staff performance and in compliance with the Management Performance Policy.
  2. Ensure timely submission of Evaluation Reports on a monthly basis.
  3. Follow up with all Line Managers to ensure timely administration of PIP’s.
  4. Staff Induction.
Ensure adherence and compliance of all HR Policies and Labour Law.

Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelors Commerce Degree in Human Resource Management.
  • Higher Diploma in HRM from a recognized institution.
  • CHRP from a recognized institution.
Work Experience
  • At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Working knowledge of Balance Scorecard is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Workforce/HR Analytics is an added advantage.
Other Competencies
  • Knowledge and thorough understanding of the employment act.
  • Grievance handling and ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
