Duties and Responsibilities
1. Process New Policies: The insurance clerk’s main responsibility is processing policy applications
2. Update/Change Existing Policies: will be responsible for updating existing policies as needed.
3. Review Policies and Documentation to ensure accuracy before processing them.
4. Follow up claims with insurance companies

a) Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate
b) Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
c) Application processing – prior experience processing applications of any kind is helpful for potential insurance clerk candidates. This includes possessing data entry skills and troubleshooting experience to help customers fill out applications correctly
d) Communication skills – must be excellent verbal and written communicators.
e) Must be efficient and professional in every aspect.
