Logistics Manager (Must have 3PL experience)


Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Logistics Manager to lead transport planning within the supply chain operations and oversee Supply Chain Logistics which covers the movement of produce from source> collection center> warehouse > depot > vendors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Champion logistics solutions and process improvements on movement of goods within the supply chain
  2. Provide and analyze the transport and logistics costs and reporting to the supply chain manager with required frequency
  3. Responsible for all aspects of inbound routing activity to ensure on-time deliveries to our warehouse or depots
  4. Manage extensive communications with 3PL partners, drivers and supply-chain team
  5. Work with the fleet team on continuous improvement or corrective action to meet or exceed service and cost metrics, goals, objectives
  6. Ensure that all compliance issues on inbound logistics are adhered to including but not limited to licences, toll fees etc
  7. Resolve daily operational matters pertaining to suppliers, inbound deliveries to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
  8. Oversee and ensure supplier compliance as governed by supplier agreements
  9. Determine and manage the balance between cost, capacity utilization, and service
  10. Maintain expertise and knowledge with Supply Chain and Logistics system
  11. Lead and mentor a team of Logistics Officers and Fleet supervisors


  1. 6+ years in Third-Party Logistics (3PL logistics experience with a minimum 2 years’ experience in management).
  2. Experience managing a fleet of a minimum of 50 trucks which comprises of a variety of vehicles from trailers or delivery vans, etc
  3. Demonstrated experience putting up systems to track fleet management, fuel efficiency, driver routines, etc
  4. A track record of putting in place effective controls to track transport and logistics activities to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives Demonstrated competencies:
