Location: Kiambu County

Reporting to: Head of Operations


The role will entail monitoring & controlling expenditure as well as ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Liaising with other company departments to determine their product and service requirements
  2. Developing plans for purchasing commodities and services
  3. Negotiating for better contractual terms of supply 
  4. Reviewing and analyzing all vendors/suppliers and maintain good relationships with them
  5. Estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for purchases 
  6. Assessing total costs of company purchases
  7. Developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  8. Making professional decisions in procurement
  9. Reviewing and analyzing all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
  10. Tracking deliveries and make sure the company receives exactly what was ordered from the suppliers
  11. Monitoring business trends and ensuring that the products and supplies are high quality
  12. Undertaking price or cost analysis before committing purchases
  13. Identifying and researching new products and services that will ensure company goals are met
  14. Maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  15. Preparing supplier reports and updates
  16. Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time


Required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Purchasing and Supplies or related courses from a recognised University or 
  • Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies or Advanced Certificate in Purchasing & Supplies or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or
  • CPA or related qualification will be an added advantage
  • At least three (3) years relevant experience 
  • Must be a person of unquestionable integrity 
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
  • Accurate, precise attention to detail and an effective team player
  • Ability to make independent and objective decisions
  • Good time management skills
