Job Description

We are a Recruitment Agency predominantly private sector-focused, but also serve domestic workers sector clients in Nairobi and Mombasa. Within our portfolio of recruitment agency services, we work on one-off job placements, as well as contract-based higher volume recruitment for our larger clients. Our delivery model is based on deep industry expertise across Permanent, Temporary, and Contracting recruitment markets. We understand the needs and challenges of our clients and employ all our expertise to meet them quickly and effectively.  

The Role
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Recruiter to join our team and assist in recruiting, interviewing, and screening responsibilities.   
The Recruiter will be responsible for providing full life-cycle recruitment support, across all levels and variety of open roles. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in screening and interviewing candidates, be up to date on current job boards and sourcing channels, strong stakeholder management, and finally, a passion in talent attraction. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the full recruitment function, research and extensive recruitment administration.

  • Search and match qualified candidates, through company database, social media channels, job boards and other resources; 
  • Negotiate salary and employment offers 
  • Interview candidates face-to-face and by telephone/Skype; 
  • Coordination of candidate interviews with the client, including travel arrangements and accompanying candidate to client; 
  • Interview preparation and coaching of candidates; 
  • Certificates verification and reference checks; 
  • Preparation and submittal of proposals on, or before, client’s deadline 
  • Follow up actions with candidates, regarding the results of their interviews; 
  • Proactive pool management for strategic profiles; 
  • Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and improvement of the recruitment procedure
  • Completing timely reports on employment activity
  • Making recommendations to company hiring managers  
  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs  
  • Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process  
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers  
  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates  
  • Performing reference and background checks  
  • Find clients and foster long-term relationships  
  • Keep detailed records of past applicants' information, including resumes, assignments and interview evaluations  
  • General office administration  
  • New business development  
  • Social media management  
  • Partner with our sales team to ensure the right match is made   
  • Manage contractors and relationships  
  • Work with account managers   

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Understanding and experience with technical profiles and candidates 
  • Proven skills in social media channels like LinkedIn, facebook etc. 
  • Proficient in English, together with strong communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Prioritizing of work activities and meeting necessary deadlines; 
  • Good negotiation skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail, flexibility with changing priorities and strong multi-tasking skills. 
  • Solutions focused with strong accountability   
  • Independent, creative and with strong sense of responsibility
  • Positive working attitude and a quick learner  
  • Solid interpersonal, persuasive, coaching, facilitating, and conflict management skills  
  • Ability to implement and deliver results on your own  
  • Previous experience using creative and innovative sourcing techniques to identify talent  
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to navigate ambiguous environment.
