Job Description

The sales & marketing team lead is expected to be the glue that holds the sales & marketing team together.

They will provide the training and motivation to the team to reach sales goals.
The work environment is typically fast-paced, and the team leader is often moving from one task to another, answering questions, holding meetings, delegating responsibilities, and acting as a voice of encouragement. Sales And Marketing Lead Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily sales and marketing efforts.
Assist Managers in sales strategy development and implementation. This includes developing strategic sales plans that expand the customer base and ensure the company maintains a strong presence in the industry.

1. Keep Informed of New Products and Services
To hit sales targets and achieve growth, the sales & marketing team lead must continue to develop knowledge of the products and services being offered. They also will need a working knowledge of the industry’s climate and competition to effectively implement the sales strategy.

2. Recruit, Train, and Coach the Sales Team
Sales & marketing team lead will help refine sales job requirements, assisting in the search for the best candidates and taking part in the interview process. 
A large part of the job is providing sales team members with tips and training to achieve a competitive edge in their industry.
The sales & marketing team lead will orient the new sales staff and focus on improving the job performance and sales of existing staff.

3. Delegate Tasks and Set Deadlines
Aside from delivering results themselves, the sales & marketing team lead is expected to delegate tasks to sales staff. Assign tasks to the team members with the best skills for the job and guide staff members to ensure the work is done well.

4. Set Sales Targets and Motivate Sales Team
The sales & marketing team lead set daily, weekly, or monthly goals. Motivate employees to reach individual sales goals and encourage the staff to work better.
They will require an understanding of the importance of praising and rewarding team members who do a stellar job and implement achievement programs.

5. Prepare Sales & Marketing Reports
The sales & marketing team lead will be responsible for preparing and delivering sales & marketing reports to their immediate report. They also report on team member performance and mission-related objectives.

Sales & Marketing Team Lead Skills and Qualifications
Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills.
1-year experience actively in sales leadership, with a proven track record of sales management or team leader success, is necessary to be considered for this job, as well as the following skills:
- Sales Industry Experience.
- Leadership and Motivation Skills.
- Customer Service.
- Organization
- Communication skills.
- Computer & CRM skills
 
Sales & Marketing team lead Tools of the Trade
Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
 
Sales & Marketing Team Lead Education and Training
Must have graduated with an undergraduate degree or a Diploma (any course).
