Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Make calls to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  2. Understand the needs of your business customers
  3. Research the market and related products
  4. Meet the set sales targets monthly, quarterly and yearly
  5. Present the product or service favourably and in a structured professional way face-to-face.
  6. Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
  7. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  8. Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries
  9. Act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
  10. Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  11. Gather market and customer information
  12. Challenge any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
  13. Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions
  14. Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
  15. Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  16. Liaise with traffic to check the progress of existing orders
  17. Record sales and order information and sending documentation and reports to the lead. 
  18. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  19. Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  20. Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
  21. Ensure daily sales report is sent to the team. 
  22. Ensure Weekly, Monthly and quarterly sales revenue and target reports are sent and reviewed with the management. 


  • Minimum Bachelor in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a service industry dealing with B2B sales 
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.

Salary: Ksh. 50,000 – 70,000 gross plus commissions
