Job Description

Brief Job Description:

  1. Coordinate and administer sales promotions in order to advertise products and to maximize the profits of the company's sales
  2. Assist in researching, evaluating and recommending enhancements to the market positioning of the company's products or services
  3. Market products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and trade shows; coordinating event logistics and creating recaps for events and campaigns; gathering information on leads



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordination with Category team and Chief Pharmacist for monthly promo ideas and product focus
  2. Coming up with the monthly brief/plan for approval by Head of Marketing
  3. Facilitation of reports that are done prior to promo for an informed promo run-through
  4. Liaising with Retail Team for promo implementation
  5. Presenting to managers the monthly promo ideas and execution
  6. Facilitating the weekly reports and reviewing promo performance against budget
  7. Assisting Head of Marketing on events management and coordination
  8. Coordinating with Retail Department for new store marketing requirements
  9. Assist Head of Marketing in the implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars
  10. Track product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expense, and new business data
  11. Assist in preparation of marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data
  12. Keep promotional materials/items ready by coordinating requirements with agencies and/or printers; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
  13. Support marketing team by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analysis, new product information; relaying customer services requests
  14. Research on competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases
  15. Assist in planning meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists Assist Head of Marketing in monitoring budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  16. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications
  17. Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  18. Achieve/exceed individual & Regional agreed budgets/KPIs   


 Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Project Management, Retail Management will be an added advantage
  • At least 2-3 years previous working experience in the marketing field
  • Project management background will be an added advantage
  • Previous experience of pharmacy logistics
