Candidates work as ambassadors and are responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory. They must build trust and act as support for prospects, ensuring they lead to potential future sales.

Job Description

The candidate will conduct sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. Their excellent social skills allow them to foster strong relationships, to which they can attribute much of their success.


Responsibilities:
  1. Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
  2. Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
  3. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
  4. Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
  5. Meet personal targets and achieve growth
  6. Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
  7. Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory
  8. Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs
  9. Work closely with marketing department to help build the brand

Requirements and characteristics
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, and/or any equivalent education that demonstrates expertise in customer engagement.

KPIs to Achieve:
  • Sales Revenue:
    • Monthly Sales Revenue to achieve: Kshs 15 million
  • New Customer Base:
    • Expecting 5 new Customers monthly with Revenue Base of Kshs 2-3 million
    • Performance can be reviewed quarterly
  • Gross Profit:
    • Average Gross profit to achieve: 40%
  • Average Sales Cycle Length: 45-60 days [from the date of receiving order until collecting the payment]
    • Performance can be reviewed quarterly
  • Customer Retention Rate: 100 %
