Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of inputs  such as raw material purchases, equipment sustenance cost and general costs
  2. Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services such as electricity etc, to determine effects on cost of articles produced
  3. Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  4. Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
  5. Making estimates of new and proposed product/services costs.
  6. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products
  7. Maintain a costing file where Raw Materials price changes are input and end product costs are easily derived
  8. Costing the top articles as required by management on a monthly basis    

 

Experience & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,  CIMA, CPA or ACCA
  2.  years’ of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  3. Conversant with the accounting software’s.
