Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks

I. Operational Responsibilities / Tasks


a) Paying customers against proper documentation.
b) Receiving deposits from customers.
c) Ensuring cheques and cash are banked and input in the system.
d) Reconciliation of cash transactions on a daily basis
e) Maintain and update daily transactions
f) Promote the Sacco’s products and handle queries raised at the counter
g) Prepare teller reconciliation report
h) Return the balance of cash to the Safe before close of day’s business
i) Responsible for all assets in his/her possession.
j) Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

II. Academic and Professional Qualifications

a) A degree in Business, Finance or Economics
b) A minimum CPA Part II is an added advantage.
c) Diploma in Co-operative Management is an added advantage
d) Computer skills proficiency.

III. Previous relevant work experience required.

Have worked at least 2 years’ in the SACCO field, 1 of which must be as a Teller.
