Our client is a well-established tour company in Nairobi. They seek to hire an experienced Tour Consultant who will take lead in designing, costing and customizing local and regional travel itineraries

Job Description

Job Level – Mid Level Management

Position duties will include but not limited to the following:-

·         Ability to manage effectively all aspects of tour operations – itinerary planning, reservations, tour quotations and customer service

·         Design exciting and flexible tour packages excursions, safaris and other related services to meet the needs of different clients

·         Prepare proposals and make client presentations

·         Ensure sales conversion by following up on client quotations

·         Research and constantly source for interesting product packages to meet consumer demands

·         Prepare itineraries and brief safari driver guides and clients before a trip to ensure smooth travel

·         Liaise with hotels and airlines for group bookings

·         Liaise with tour operators/partners in other destinations

Tour Consultant Job Qualifications

·         Degree/Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel or any other related qualifications

·         At least 5 years’ experience as a tour consultant

·         Experience in liaising with international travel agents/partners

·         Should have thorough knowledge of the East African Tourism product and designing of itineraries and costing

·         Excellent planning and organizational skills

·         Self-motivated, confident, professional and assertive personality

·         Ability to multi task and get things done to completion

·         A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

·         Excellent spoken and written English.

·         Computer knowledge
