Reporting Line: Unit Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Clean and arrange service areas in the restaurant

·         Set cutlery and sauces on the tables and ensure that they are clean and neat

·         Alternately take stock of service cutlery, sauces, accessories and beverages and make a record of the same

·         Source for and meet customers at entry points and welcome them with a smile

·         Seat customers at their table of choice

·         Offer menus to the customers and enquire if they need help with understanding the menu

·         Describe the menu items in a simple language and offer meal suggestions

·         Take customer orders and key them into the P.O.S

·         Serve customers and clear tables

·         Get customer experience feedback and forward the same to the unit manager

·         Alternately take out the garbage on the last shift of the day

·         Ensure you meet targets sales targets as set by the unit manager

·         Take personal responsibility for the adherence to Health, Sanitation, Maintenance and Safety standards, including ensuring that your health certificate is valid.

·         Perform any other duties as may be assigned by your line manager or his designate

Key Attributes

Must have at least 1-year experience in food service Excellent people skills

Must have a valid food handler’s certificate and authorized to work in Kenya
