The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya is a State Corporation Established by The government under the Anti-Doping Act No. 5 of 2016 to lead a coordinated National Education and Awareness programmes, Testing and Promotion of Integrity for Doping-free Sport. Information Communication Technology Officer, Grade ADAK 7
Salaries Scale: 70,350-96,600
(a) Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:-
(i) configuring and maintaining Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
(ii) carrying out systems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users;
(iii) drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment;
(iv) analyzing, designing, coding, testing, implementing computer programs;
(iv) maintaining a high degree of user service for all support queries and adhere to all ICT service management principles;
(v) providing technical ICT support to users;
(vii) designing, setting-up and configuring ICT systems and network systems;
(viii) developing, installing and testing ICT systems, networks and upgrades;
(ix) resolving and restoring operational issues and ICT services;
(x) maintaining primary and disaster recovery data centers;
(xi) carrying out work and changes to the ICT infrastructure components;
(xii) administering and maintaining LAN & WAN;
(xiii) following up with vendors and service providers on warranty issues; and
(xiv) verifying, validating and certification of Information Communication Technology equipment.
(b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
(i) Bachelors in any of the following disciplines:- Computer Science; Information Science; Information Technology; Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from recognized institution; and
(ii) Accreditation in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or any other equivalent qualification from recognized Institution.
