(a) Duties and Responsibilities

iii. Developing and updating applications systems
iv. Carrying out systems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users v. Overseeing the process of configuration of new Information Communication Technology equipment
vi. Drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment
vii. Verification, validation and certification of Information technology equipment
viii. Maintenance of computer systems, carrying out repairs and maintenance of information Communications Technology equipment and associated peripherals (
Requirements for Appointment Direct Appointment For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have
i. A Degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology or in Electronic / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
ii. Served in the grade of Information Communication Technology Officer III or in an equivalent and relevant position in the CAMS for a period of three (3) years;
iii. Bachelor degree in any of the following: mathematic, Economics, Statistic, Commerce, Physics or any other ICT related discipline with a bias in information Communication Technology from recognized Institution;
iv. Ordinary/ Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Hardware, Network administration, Maintenance, or Software Support;
v. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

PREFERENTIAL CRITERIA DURING SELECTION
suitably qualified applicants will enjoy preferential treatment in the order below:
1. Applicants serving in positions at the County Assembly of Kisumu on the basis of secondment during the transition period;
2 Applicants serving in the executive arm of the County Government of Kisumu
3. Applicants who are residents in the Kisumu County
