Accountant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Responsible for all financial matters relating to the society

ii. Advising the CEO on the financial position of the society

iii. Preparation of the SACCO’S monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

iv. Ensuring safe custody of all financial accountable documents

v. Ensuring all receipts are banked promptly

vi. Reconciliation of bank statements

vii. Reconciliation and maintenance of financial statements

viii. Co-ordination of all financial issues and receipts

ix. Ensure timely processing of creditor payments

x. Reporting on the SACCO’s financial investment matters.

xi. Attend to any of the SACCO’s audit Queries.

xii. Preparation of all statements of accounts, receipts expenditure and Receivables.

xiii. Agent to the SACCO Bank accounts.

xiv. Assist the CEO in preparation of annual budget

xv. Recovery of society debts

xvi. Performance of any other duties that she/he may be assigned by CEO from time to time.

Interested candidates should meet the following;

• A Holder of a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting / Finance / Cooperative business

• CPA K

• 5 years’ relevant working experience in a SACCO.

• Minimum KCSE Grade; C+, Mathematics; C+ & English; C+

• Computer proficiency in accounting packages
