Key Responsibilities Check and quantify tax payments due and process accordingly (VAT and WHT),Conduct and update bank reconciliations (both office and client) are done and updated monthlyMaintain updated cash books (both client and office)Maintain nominal and client accounts in the ledgers..Submit management accounts every quarterDaily petty cash reconciliation and paymentsGenerate ETR fee notesUpdate estimates in system to create debtors listPay statutory payments – see work schedule attached- VAT PAYECompute income taxProcess payroll and employee bank paymentsCash flow; prepare yearly budget and monthly budgetManage suppliers end of month payments and liaise with suppliers/stationers. Obtain competitive pro forma estimatesCompute VAT payable taking into account withheld VATCompute withheld VAT and WHT tax for clients paymentsAble to work unsupervised and adhere to office regulations and timelines accorded for turnaround in a timely manner. Key Skills and Competencies Work experience as an AccountantHands-on experience with accounting software – QuickBooksAdvanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesExperience with general ledger functionsStrong attention to detail and good analytical skillsBSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degreeCPA (K)
