Job Summary

The accountant will support the Finance Department in day-to-day operations as detailed below, as well as providing the data needed for the generation of management reports, financial statements and ACRā€™s system an compliance requirements.

  • Minimum Qualification : Diploma
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

  • Verify, allocate and post transaction in the accounting system
  • Perform vendor reconciliations in the prescribed manner and submit on timely manner for payment
  • Prepare weekly payment plan on timely manner for review.
  • Manage the issuance of petty cash and staff advances as well as reconciliation of the respective staff accounts.
  • Preparation of the monthly Payroll to GL reconciliation.
  • Preparation of the monthly bank and cash reconciliations on timely mannerĀ 
  • Prepare on timely manner for and submit payment of taxes and statutory contributions including, among others PAYE, WHT, VAT, NSSF, and NHIF.
  • Participate in monthly, annual, and ad hoc stock take
  • Assist in the monthly and annual close process
  • Filing of Accounting Documents both virtual and physical.
  • Collect, analyze and present data for other departments requirements in an organized and timely manner.
  • Any other tasks as will be required by the supervisor and department manager.


Competencies

  • Bachelors/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualifications in accounting.
  • 1-4 years experience
  • Prior manufacturing experience is an added advantage.
