Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Prepare monthly reports on aging accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
Accounts Payable: Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing. Maintain vendor records and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Statement Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues as needed.
General Ledger Maintenance: Support the maintenance of the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions
Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize company expenses, assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of more efficient accounting practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to facilitate effective financial management and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
