RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements using information from operating statements, account ledgers, work order reports, project tracking systems, etc.Carry out monthly variance analysis and assist departmental managers on prudent resource utilization.Reconcile and coordinate the reconciliation of appropriation and cash flow budgets to the general ledger.Ensure correct coding to the general ledger, identify trends and potential areas of concern as well as initiate basic adjustments, as needed, and report actions.Prepare management reports, investigate alternatives, create reports, charts, and graphs illustrating findings.Review documents dealing with appropriation or transfer of budgets.Administer and control large operational databases.Prepare special studies dealing with financial trends.Provide real time support to the area controller and timely completion of ad hoc finance projects.Assist with the review and evaluation of personnel performance.Perform other Tasks as may be assigned by line Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Must be worthy to hold a current temple recommendBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a related field. An MBA degree will be preferred.CPA, ACCA, or CIMA designation is a must.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior finance management environment. Exposure to a multicultural set up will be an added advantage.Demonstrate understanding of GAAP, IAS, and emerging trends.Must have excellent computing, communication, analytical and presentation skills. In addition, he/she must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.An understanding and experience in the use of church accounting systems will be an added advantage.Must be willing and able to learn new software.Must have strong report writing skills.Must be proficient in written and spoken English.Must be Self-driven and Innovative.
