Assistant Chemist – Grade KPC 7

a) Job Specifications
i. Assist the Chemist:
ii. Perform tests in all grades of petroleum products
iii. Analyse test results and make conclusions
iv. Ensure test equipment are available
v. Advise the QCM on slop management
vi. Prepare periodic reports
vii. Ensure proper housekeeping in the laboratory
viii. Enforce HSE issues in the lab
ix. Liaison officer in the lab
x. Enforce JIG requirements in Jet A-1 handling
xi. Supervision and appraisals

b) Person Specifications
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
ii. Minimum of two (2) years post qualification relevant experience
iii. Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. KCS.
iv. Proficient in computer applications

v. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
