Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Investments, Trade & Industry (MITI), established in by the EPZ Act CAP , Laws of Kenya.Reporting RelationshipsReports to: Manager – Operations Investor SupportDirect reports: Principal Investor Support OfficerIndirect reports: All other staff in the Operations and Investor Support SectionJob PurposeThe job holder is responsible for ensuring sound Investor Support and facilitation for the EPZEnterprises as well as investor retention and general growth and expansion of the EPZprogramme.Key Responsibilities / Duties / TasksManagerial / Supervisory Responsibilities Develop work plans and budgets for the section for approvalOversee the execution of the approved section work plans and budgetsOversee performance management of staff who work in the officePrepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the RegionIdentify training needs for sectionParticipate in the recruitment of staff within the RegionParticipate in the development and review of the organization strategic planIdentify procurement needs of the sectionMentor and coach staff who work in the sectionParticipate in various committees in the Organization Operational Responsibilities / Tasks Implement policies and procedure manuals for investor support facilitatePromotion of the EPZ programmeEnsure compliance with Kenya Laws by all EPZ Enterprises.Partner with different organizations for effective Investor support Service.Monitor performance of the EPZ EnterprisesLiaison with different government agenciesUndertake Pri – Investment and Post Investment facilitation for New EPZ Enterprises.Facilitate Backward Linkages between EPZ Investors and domestic suppliersOrganise EPZ Stakeholders Forums.Carry out performance appraisals for staff in the sectionSource and disseminate strategic information to investors on International, Regional andnational initiatives on potential Business opportunities and Markets. Job Dimensions:Financial Responsibility: Participate in budget development and implementation.Responsibility for Physical Assets : Responsible for all EPZA physical assets in the Region/Zone/Head Office.Decision Making: Make strategic, operational and financial decisionsPlan work of subordinatesAssign work to subordinatesMonitors subordinates work performance IV.
