6. Assistant Office Administrator III, (Secretarial) JOB GROUP ‘H’ (CPSB 11) TEN (10) POSTS ADVERT NO. 97/2020
Terms of Service : Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary : Kshs. 25,470 – Kshs. 33,950 p.m.
House Allowance : Kshs 3,200 p.m
Commuter Allowance : Kshs 4,000 p.m
Health Benefits : Comprehensive Medical Cover
a) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C- (Minus) with at least C plain in English or Kiswahili language
ii. Business Education Single and Group Certificate (BES & GC) from Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:
a. Typing I (minimum 40 w.p.m)/Computerized Document Processing I;
b. Business English I/ Communications I;
c. Office Practice I;
d. Commerce I;
e. Information Communication Technology I.
iii. Craft Certificate in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC); and
iv. Certificate in Computer Application
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Taking oral dictation;
ii. Word and data processing from manuscripts;
iii. Operating office equipment;
iv. Ensuring security of office equipment, documents and records;
v. Attending to visitors/clients;
vi. Handling telephone calls and appointments; and
vii. Undertaking any other office administrative services duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
