BIM Coordinator
Job Summary
The BIM Coordinator will report to and receive direction from the Group’s BIM Manager and the various project-level management teams. This role will provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members to optimize Navisworks features and follow project modelling and coordination standards. This position will also work directly with The Group’s IT team regarding BIM process standards, technology support and training.

Job Description/Requirements
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Technical advisor to Group on BIM
• Head of BIM Studio
• Participate in BIM set-up, standards and coordination process on projects
• Establish early standards for data exchange with entire Project Team to optimize use of the BIM for scheduling, quantity take-off, estimating, etc. during all stages of the project
• Participate in the development of standard families and detail libraries for building elements
• Participate in technological collaboration between project team members, client, architect, main contractor, consultants, subcontractors, etc.
• Coordinate and manage model families and initiate coordination efforts using Navisworks Manage
• Facilitate the exchange and coordination of the 3D model with consultants and contractor/fabricators
• Run clash detection studies and generate reports to project team. Assign responsible parties' workflows and manage these tasks to successful completion
• Ensure the construction geometry is error-free and presented in an efficient manner for the crews
• Interface with specialist manufacturers and provide building visualization input
• Maintain model libraries throughout projects and create archive record models at completion

• Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results

• Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction-related documentation and communicate with coworkers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
• Bachelor’s degree on higher national diploma in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry especially architecture and mechanical engineering
• Over 3 years' experience in a Revit/BIM environment
• Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk's Navisworks Manage
• Experience in the delivery of large, complex projects
• Ability to communicate and present design and/or construction ideas to a variety of audiences
• Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills for responding to information requests
• Ability to successfully host, run and document field coordination meetings
• Must be able to access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review
• Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended periods of overtime or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction sequences
