JOB DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Job title: Business Development Officer/Customer service representative
Department: Sales and Marketing
Responsible to: Business Development Manager
Work Station: Nairobi
Responsible for identifying sales prospects and leads, pitching and selling goods and services as well as maintaining good relationships with customers
v Drive sales
v Oversee development of initiatives for revenue for growth.
v Grow the brand
v Prepare and present branch network reports
v Innovation and new ideas of improving our corporate brand, revenue etc.
v Tender for business based on market intelligence data collected by marketing department
v Research the market for identifying new business opportunities.
v Explain prospective clients about the advantages of the services offered and follow up with them in order to close the business deals.
v Respond to the client queries regarding the products in a timely fashion.
v Develop business proposals for new and existing customers.
v Develop creative strategies to retain the clients including interviewing them to take their feedback and incorporate it into the growth plan.
v Coordinate collection of information, data and collate the same for Management decision making
v Develop strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective clients.
v Manage customer calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities.
v Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization.
v Determine cross-selling opportunities among different offices.
v Support team members
v Marketing of new branches and ensures they break even within the set timelines.
v Any other duty assigned to you by the management.
