PURPOSE FOR CALL OF CONSULTANT

The purpose of the Call for Consultants is to enable Sustainable Business Consulting to update and expand its database for national, regional and international consultants for short and medium term engagements in the provision of diverse consultancy services and works to support its growing regional programs. 

Consultancy engagements are envisaged to run for days, weeks, or a couple of months depending on the nature of the services and works contracted by the organization. The nature of the engagements shall be fee-based consultancy contracts. Pre-qualified consultancy  individuals shall be offered consulting opportunities on the basis of their competitiveness, technical expertise and relevant experiences in respective fields of specialization as demonstrated by their pre-qualification bid offers. Successful applicants will be listed as pre-qualified consultants and shall only be contracted upon successful bids for specific assignments in accordance with the internal organizational procedures, and under the general terms and conditions applicable to procurement of consultants.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA / QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

A consultant is a recognized authority or specialist in a specific field, to be engaged by SBC  in an advisory or consultative capacity. This call invites experts with relevant experience who are available for short-term assignments. Suitably qualified and experienced individuals interested in offering their services to the Organisation on a consultancy basis as and when the need arises must meet the following criteria:

1. Proven work experience in the area of expertise as detailed in the categories above
2. Applicable Bachelor’s /Masters’ / PhD Degree in the area of expertise
3. 5+ year’s working experience in the relevant field of expertise
4. Demonstrated professional leadership and the ability to coordinate professional assignments
5. Excellent written and oral communications skills in English to deliver reports and documents
6. Excellent analytical and reporting skills
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders and to express concisely and clearly ideas and concepts
8. Have excellent participatory and interactive skills

 Interested Consultancy firms and individual consultants are requested to submit their applications clearly stating and including the following:

2. Detailed CV (maximum 5 pages)
3. Summary CV (maximum2 pages) of at least 2 associated key expert consultants
4. Short profile and history of work experience
5. Testimonials / certifications / Recommendations from previous assignments
6. Indicative range of the daily fee rate in KES
7. Indicate Consultants country of registration/nationality
8. Indicate Consultants countries of experience
