5. Charge Hand Electrical, JOB GROUP CPSB 10 (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Officer at this level will be based at a small unit or depot to acquire practical experience in the various aspects of the job.
i. He will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of electrical, installations in Public Buildings and County Government Quarters, commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire detection equipment, cookers water heaters, street lighting and general domestic appliances and for inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in diesel generating plants and machinery and
ii. Any other duties as determined by the Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment for this grade, a Candidate must have: -
i. The Kenya Certificate of Education Division III with a pass in Mathematics, English and Physics or Physical Science or KCSE (Mean grade D+).
ii. Be in a possession of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Kenya National Examination Council or other Approved equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
iii. Must have satisfactorily served for at least three (3) years in the field of Electrical Works thus, acquiring wide knowledge in Electrical Sector.
iv. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
a) Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation
b) Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
c) Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
d) Clearance from the Ethics &Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e) Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
