Job Description
Our desire is to find a suitable candidate who balances skills in pre-production, production and post production to see the vision of any footage come to life. Collaborating with other team members in the production role, they join together to plan, produce, edit and distribute the desired video output.
In their primary role, the cinematographer/video editor will combine their creativity in production, work with recorded footage and formulate the ideas into a finished project that matches the clients’ or director’s vision and is suitable for social media, ads and various requirements for the intended broadcast tool. Ultimately, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for storytelling, passion for detail, have the ability to patch together different clips, work well from briefs and apply research and creativity to put together great content. You will use your video creation skills to put together great videos that will be purposeful, communicate and grab attention. Your skills in communication and managing projects will be crucial to the success of the implementation of different projects. Day to Day responsibilities
• Participate in pre-production discussions; brainstorm ideas, planning for production and storyboarding
• On specific schedules work on film production on location for various types of productions
• Manipulate and edit video in a way that is seamless for the audience
• Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications.
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Create rough and final cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements
• Proficient with the use of content creation equipment (Cameras, Lights, Audio, Streaming etc.)
• Proven work experience as a Video Editor
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
• Creative mind and storytelling skills

possesses skills across board in videography, photography, motion graphics,
photo editing and graphic design.
