Job Description/Requirements

Position: College Lead Trainer
Department    -    Academics
Reports to    -    Head of Academics
Liaises with    -    All Internal Montessori House staff and departments, Teachers, Parents, and Students.
Main purpose    -    To provide professional leadership for the school, ensuring high quality education for all its students and good standards of learning and achievement.
Job scope and context    -    To inspire staff to achieve the highest possible standards in teaching and develop well rounded students.

Min Educational Requirements and work experience
-    Degree in Education. Course in early childhood education;
-    At least (10) years’ working experience, (4) of which should be in a similar role or equivalent; Valid Certificate of Good Conduct

Skills and knowledge needed    -    Early childcare experience; excellent interpersonal relations; proven facilitation skills; ability to communicate effectively; diligent, organized and methodical; knowledgeable on use and adoption of technology; demonstrate leadership and influence

General behaviors        Passionate about children with strong regard for student safety and well being; respectful and able to motivate inspire and build rapport with children; excellent team player; good organizational skills; good facilitator; 

Key Responsibilities:
a.    Work in liaison with the Head of Academics in implementing the college development plan for continuous institutional improvements
b.    Monitor and evaluate the performance of the college against set benchmarks
c.    Ensure that the management, finances, organization and administration of the school supports its visions and aims
d.    To champion college policies and make sure procedures are adhered to
e.    Set priorities for expenditure, allocation of funds and effective administrative control
f.    Maintain an environment that promotes and secures good teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behaviors
g.    Determine, organize, implement and monitor the curricula and its assessment and ensure that statutory requirements are complied to.
h.    Ensure that student develop study skills in order to learn more effectively and with increased independence
i.    Determine, organize and implement a policy for personal, social and moral development of students
j.    Monitor and evaluate quality of teaching and learning and standards of achievement of all students 
k.    Determine and implement positive strategies and programs which ensure good student behaviors and discipline and give support and clear guidelines on exclusions
l.    Determine and maintain effective links with the community including business and industry, to extend the curriculum and enhance teaching and learning.
m.    Continue to maintain an effective partnership with stakeholders and the wider community to support and improve student achievements and personal development 
n.    Plan, allocate, support and evaluate work undertaken by groups, teams, and individuals, ensuring clear delegation of tasks
o.    Ensure the effective security, supervision and maintenance of the college infrastructure
p.    Drive enrollment and student retention in all programs
q.    Supervise and drive performance management across the college.
r.    Promote and monitor the continuing professional development of staff, including the induction of newly on-boarded staff
s.    Participate in the selection and recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff
t.    Develop a culture of coaching and peer support to enable staff to develop professionally and enable students prosper
