Kuni Mpya Ltd aims to eradicate dependence on firewood, charcoal and other environmentally degrading sources of fuel. With Kenya’s forests rapidly on decline, kuni mpya offers a new alternative to traditional sources of fuel by providing a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly alternative for Kenyan schools and institutions.

 

Job Profile

In this position, you will be working as part of a team that is responsible for identifying and evaluating mainly schools and any other institutions as prospective clients of our product (briquettes) to be able to use as fuel as a replacement for firewood.

 

Main Duties
Sales Representative

•    Generating leads through research, cold calls, visitation of institutions and marketing of product.
•    Meeting or exceeding planned sales goals and targets.
•    Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
•    Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
•    Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
•    Giving sales presentations and demonstrations to a range of prospective clients.
•    Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
•    Understanding and promoting company programs.
•    Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
•    Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
•    Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
•    Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
•    Maintaining client records and continued relationships through follow ups to ensure future sales.

Required Skills/Experience

Essential:

•    Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
•    Proven track record and work experience as a Sales Representative.
•    Proper product knowledge of how (briquettes) work and being able to deliver demonstrations to clients.
•    Confident and highly motivated.
•    Excellent selling, pricing and negotiation skills.
•    Skills and openness to feedback.
•    Professional communication skills.
•    Time management and organizational skills.
•    Excellent Business Relationship Management and Customer Relationship Management practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships.
 
Desirable:
•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
•    Excellent knowledge of Google Docs.
