About the Role
The Communications Specialist will manage our external and internal corporate communications on Mainstream/ Traditional media and Digital Media. They will promote a positive public image, utilize our communication strategy to deliver stellar business results and control the dissemination of information on the company’s behalf.
They will ensure that audiences within an organization's network have access to our messaging and also create engaging content for various platforms on print, digital and electronic media
They will report directly to the Head of Marketing and will work closely with the Community Manager, Designer and communication teams across the TATC brands.
Responsibilities
The Communications Specialist will have the following responsibilities. This list is not exhaustive, just indicative of the direction and purpose of the role.
➔ Develop the company’s PR and Communications Strategy that will stellar results for the business
➔ Assist with the development of Marketing briefs and campaigns whenever required
➔ Lead the all efforts related to content planning, development and distribution with focus on both Digital media channels and Mainstream media channels
➔ Spearhead brand partnership efforts
➔ Plan, organize and execute company and client events online and offine
➔ Champion internal communications e.g. company newsletters etc.
➔ Generate innovative ways to gain quality media coverage and engagement across all channels.
➔ Initiate, draft, edit communications materials, including articles, press kits, fact sheets, infographics and multimedia products, mass media or company website.
➔ Liaise with the media, coordinate interviews, write copy for statements, organize press conferences etc.
➔ Provide timely response, strategic advice and creative solutions for dealing with sensitive communications issues and stories.
➔ Support and evaluate the results of communication campaigns with the team.
➔ Development and maintenance of media relations, contacts and lists.
Key Skills, Attributes & Experience
The Communications Specialist should possess the following skill sets, attributes and minimum experience. This list is not exhaustive, just indicative of the prerequisite skills needed.
➔ Outstanding events management and execution abilities (offine and online events), including moderation and emceeing.
➔ Familiarity with Content creations tools and best practices
➔ Exceptional communication (oratory & written) and copywriting & editing skills.
➔ Partnership building experience and skills
➔ Great media network
➔ Experience in corporate communications and project management are important.
➔ Positive attitude and the ability to gain the trust of colleagues and external parties alike.
➔ Proven experience in crisis Communication and management.
➔ Advanced research skills including analytical insights on consumer behaviors.
➔ Basic SEO knowledge.
➔ Experience in content production is a plus.
➔ Degree in public relations, communications or relevant feld desirable

The Communications Specialist will be onboarded on 1st April 2023
