RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Prepare and execute the Quality Control Program on site Inspect and perform testing coordination and control Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Manage and review the submittal register Check material, design, shop and as-built drawings May be required to manage a team of Quality Control Engineers Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Operations Manager Ability to plan, prepare, and analyze documents Ability to write submittals, RFI’s and MoS and work plans. Implementing procedures for scheduling, reviewing, and managing submittals to the client, ensuring compliance with contract requirements Development of the final Quality Control Plan (QCP), QC plan modifications for site-specific project; monitoring quality control trends; coordinating prep meetings & training programs; maintaining quality control documentation for completed task orders; and providing support for the resolution of complex issuesPosition Requirements
10+ years of total professional experience in international construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures 5+ years of experience as a Construction Quality Control Professional Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management Previous work experience in US Government funded projects a plus (USACE, DOS or OBO project experience) Strong communications skills, verbal and written Aptitude to build strong relations with government entities. Proficiency in prioritizing and deadline management Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing construction quality control programs for similar projects Field experience is a must Must have a Army Corp of Engineer CQM Certification Must be willing to work in the AFRICOM theatre Must be proficient in project management tools and software, such as, RMS, ProjNet, SharePoint, etc. Five years of construction experience focusing on vertical construction. Three years of senior-level management with at least two projects must have been $5 million or greater in value experience on construction projects in sub-Saharan Africa or other post-conflict countries listed. The list of post-conflict countries includes Lebanon, Mexico, Colombia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt, Philippines, Libya, Yemen, Bosnia, Haiti, Kosovo, and Syria.
