About the role As a Consultant specializing in Financial Services at BFA Global, you will be a generalist in the inclusive finance space. The ideal candidate will therefore have experience delivering financial services to unserved and underserved communities.You will play a key role in providing advisory and technical assistance services to clients in the financial services industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive impactful change within the financial services landscape. Your deep understanding of the industry and your analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to deliver actionable recommendations that address client needs and help them achieve their goals. What you’ll doAs a Consultant at BFA Global, we are seeking someone with the following capabilities: Be proficient in at least one out of the following areas of work: financial inclusion, digital financial services, inclusive fintech, livelihoodsWork productively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to ensure successful project deliveryDeliver quality project content with minimal supervisionCommunicate and coordinate with clients and other stakeholders as neededCapably support Senior and Principal Consultants in meeting project objectives, business development and strategic initiatives. Your day-to-day project work can include, but will not be limited to: Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs, challenges, and opportunities related to financial services.Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from various sources to gain insights into customer behavior, portfolio health, market trends, and industry best practices.Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within client organizations, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency.Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities within the financial services industry.Impact Measurement: Develop frameworks and metrics to measure the impact of financial services interventions and initiatives.Project Management: Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products and effective communication with clients. Qualifications & requirements Bachelors or Masters in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in consulting or advisory roles.Deep knowledge of financial products, services, and fintech.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative methods to complex business challenges.Excellent project management skills, including prioritising tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in financial services, such as fintech, digital banking, and impact investing, is a plus.
