The Marketing and Communications officer is responsible for the development and supervision of all marketing and communications strategies for the institution and its affiliates. This individual will develop marketing and communication strategies, and implement plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns.
The incumbent will promote the creation, enhancement and development of programs to promote the institution and its affiliates and their services.
He or she will maintain the brand integrity of the institutions and strategically position them as a trusted source for knowledge and affiliated services while establishing the school’s status as an industry leader.
The Marketing and Communications officer will also launch and push new services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals and targets.
The marketing and communication officer shall report to the Administrator, head of academics and any other senior office as the management may assign.
The work station will be mainly at Joska Machakos or guided by the management from time to time.

Duties and responsibilities
ü Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including; social media marketing, brand enhancement activities, activations.
ü Run an aggressive social media campaign, with creativity that indirectly markets the school and its affiliates yielding growth and brand market strength.
ü Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives.
ü Maximize brand value through maintaining high level visibility on social media and other mass communication channels.
ü Ensure all services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
ü Work with staff and other departments to produce marketing and communication initiatives that capture the target clientele in accordance with highest brand messaging skills.
ü Employ photography skills to effectively communicate to target clients and update the existing clients on brand enhancing activities and events within the school and its affiliates.
ü Develop marketing plans within budget requirements.
ü Collaborate with all departments to identify internal and external customer needs. Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
ü Monitor, evaluate, and report on similar industry activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
ü Develop, manage and execute an annual strategic marketing and communications plan the institutions spanning across all communication media (online and offline) and reach appropriate target audiences, based on specific performance goals.
ü Evaluate the success of various communication strategies and provide and implement recommendations for improvement.
ü Develop, manage and produce materials to create a cohesive image and message for print and all offline communication channels.
ü Ensure that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline.
ü Other duties as assigned.
· Social media marketing and communication for corporates expertise.
· Bachelor degree/diploma in Journalism, marketing, Communications or related field.
· 2 - 3 years of work experience in the sector including the handling of corporate communications, photography, original writing and editing and some public relations.
· Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
· Demonstrated proficiency in internet marketing techniques, technologies, and solutions.
