Article establishes a county government for each county consisting of the county assembly and the county executive. The Trans Nzoia county government was operationalized in March after the country’s general election with H.E Hon. Patrick Simiyu Khaemba as the first popularly elected Governor.JOB GROUP “R” (1 POST) – (CPSB-03). Advert No. 5/Duties and Responsibilities Chair the County Health Management Team (CHMT)Provide leadership in formulating and implementing health policies in the departmentSupervise medical superintendents, unit heads and Sub-County Medical Officers of Health (SCMOHs)Manage administrative responsibilities (preparation and approval of work plans, departmental budgets, etc.)Chair disciplinary committee in the health departmentImplement performance management system in the departmentImplement monitoring and evaluation of health servicesEnsure that health services and operations comply with the law or regulatory bodiesEnsure compliance with financial regulations in the Department of HealthCoordinate County and National health programmesOversee health outreach activitiesEnsures implementation of affirmative, gender and disability mainstreaming in the Department of Health services and SanitationProvide leadership and implement corporate governance in the Department of Health services and sanitationEnhance sustainability of health operations through partnership and collaboration with development partners and health/learning institutionsEstablish and maintain a good working environment for health providers and the communityEnsure inventory management in the Department of Health services and sanitationReceive and make reports about the Health and sanitation services within the county Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: Bachelor of Medicine, Dental Surgery, Pharmacy or any health related degree;Master’s degree in Medicine, Dental Surgery, Health Systems Management, or a Master’s degree in Public Health;A certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than four weeks or its equivalent from a recognized Institution;Ten years in relevant field with at least Five years in managerial position(s);Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board or a relevant professional body;Valid practicing license;Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; andDemonstrate professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results
